Art- beautiful room and top flight equipment. we share a mutual friend in gary hall. sold him my vr4 jr's a few years ago and got to hear them again last weekend. us north ft worth listeners are few between. we should arrange a meet! never heard anything on par with whats on display above. cheers. aaron
Thank you Arthur, I am enjoying my system and music more now than at any time in the 40+ years I have enjoyed this hobby, although it seems like much more oftentimes. Building much of the componentry was very enjoyable, but now listening is my reward.

Hello Arthur, what an incredible system! Having custom built components can give a quality that is rarely seen in off-the-rack (or floor, as the case may be). I have put together custom Tannoy HPD 315 drivers in 2" thick enclosures, with custom designed and built outboard crossovers using Mundorf Silver-in-Oil caps, Dueland resistors, and 12 gauge Alpha Core inductors. Solid silver DH Labs hook-up wire connects all the parts. I reconed the drivers with new Hard Edge conversion woofers. The sound is unlike any speakers I have ever heard, so I can imagine what your system sounds like. Unbelieveable, I'm sure! I just obtained a VAC PA 35.35 EL 34 amp, and it sounds magical with these Tannoys. I'd sure like to hear what they would sound like with your amps!

Great looking system! I have been looking at VAC myself on and off for the past couple of years, exactly in the configuration you have there (a pair of 300.1 as monoblocks and their pre). Just love how they sound!
Hi Albert! I actually haven't gotten to it yet....last weekend was crazy busy and I was out this week for a couple of days. My plan is to put them in Saturday night and let them run a bit then get to some serious listening Sunday. I'll post findings here...

I too had a great time listening to your system, one of many for me but a first for Sam. I'm sorry it took me so long to post, I was editing the 600 + images for Audiogon of the Salon Son Canada audio show.
You've taken a great system and made it superb. The room, crossovers and new cables portray your custom line array in the very best light.
