Thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate them. I was a horn guy starting with Tannoy Westminsters, really loved those speakers. I partnered up with a horn and tube equipment manufacturer after selling my Westies, and the build quality was spotty and the experience over a few years of poor communication, blame shifting and lack of follow through trying to get things right almost ruined the hobby for me. So I sold it all off and moved on to this system which has big time dynamics, ease and tone like my horn systems have but takes a different route to get there. Bonus is all these products are from manufacturers who care deeply about quality and are a delight to work with. Happy listening!

Boy, would I love to have your room for my horn setup. In reading previous comments, you, apparently, were a horn guy at one time. If I may ask, what were you running and what possessed you to move on? I just can't imagine giving up the unbridled dynamics and ease that a larger horn system provides.

What are your impressions of Duelund 16GA speaker cables? western electric used copper mined in mines - perhaps the secret is in this ... modern wire most often is the result of remelting scrap metal ... will it be possible to repeat the success ...
How about Duelund 20 GA? - can they be used as speaker cables or are they really thin ... (my speakers have RMS 20 watts and are powered by a tube amplifier) ... your opinion is interesting

My goodness, Arthur, what a great system overhaul. Most of the main system components are from Destination Audio. That must take system match up to a new level. It would be an extreme pleasure to hear how it does as a system.

I guess I don't need to remind you to enjoy yourself, do I?

Hello Arthur, Haven't heard from you in a while. Will your new room house the same setup as in this post? If so, you're most likely building the room with these speakers in mind, so you are looking forward to a nice improvement in sound quality.

Arthur, I see you have moved on from your Tannoys. If I were to move on as well, it would be for the same reason you did. My heart, and my head, has been pointing that direction for years, but the budget won't allow it.

If the new amps and speakers sound anywhere near as good as they look, you must be on cloud nine!

Congrats Jay, terrific amplifiers!  I went with Natural Sound 845-T tubes and left the others stock.  Mine are on Timbernation 3" Maple platforms and use Found Music GiFT power cords.  Pre-amp is terrific as well.  I'll drop you PM for contact info.

Arthur, that would be great. Audio enthusiasts are scarce as hens teeth around here. I've lived in the same small town (Oak Harbor, on the north end) of Whidbey Island for 46 years, and never met another like-minded individual in all that time here. So, listening sessions are (aside from just myself in attendance), something highly anticipated, and looked forward to.

Thank you for your very kind words, your setup is pretty spectacular as well.  I do get a great deal of enjoyment from this system and like the ability to use different pieces to change things up now and again.  I'm having a bit of an issue of collecting amplifiers, I just keep finding interesting ones.  I'm having a couple special new pieces built as we speak, more to come.

If you're ever out in Texas you must come by for an evening of listening.
