Thank you for your gracious hospitality and the opportunity to visit and listen to your system a few weeks ago when I was in Dallas/Ft. Worth. It was a pleasure to meet your lovely wife and family and your system sounded even better than I had imagined it would. Great audio room as well as a really comfortable house. Sorry about the burgers - who knew(besides Albert)??!! Thanks also for your invaluable transportation assistance.
Have fun in Dallas this weekend - sounds like a great time - ENJOY!!
Last time I was over the new treatments (in front of the fireplace, etc.) were in place I think and your system sounded really dialed in and great. I'm still playing with sub settings but am gone for the holidays so I'll have to pick back up when I get home.
Your system was sounding really excellent the last few times I heard it. No doubt the new (sensational) room treatment brought big improvement.
I don't think you've been over since I did my last acoustic treatment have you? I also reset the subs again after experimenting with Ish who came for a visit.
I don't know where you have your new subs set, but I keep lowering the crossover and sharpening the curve.
Presently I'm at 30 Hz and 24 DB per octave, it may be set too low, but I'm going to live with each adjustment long enough to learn what each setting brings to the music (both good and bad).
Thanks Albert! You certainly helped me down this path and I really appreciate it. I'm working on getting them in right and think I am getting close. You are welcome over here naytime, just let me know when you want to make the trek and we'll do it!
Hopefully the relocation is something good for you Aaron, be sure and look us up if you're back out this way and I'll do same if I'm coming to Memphis. Safe move and the best of everything to you and yours!
Hi John, thanks so much for your kind words. The room is a second story and Jeff Hedback was an absolute gem to work with. I am very happy with both the sound and look of the room. You are more than welcome to come on by if you're up our way. I know going to a few different rooms definitely gave me ideas for what I did and didn't want to do with my project.
I just read about your room on Hedback's website. I really love the approach you 2 took. And frankly the look is to die for. I suspect my room is similar to your's before the makeover.
Is your room on concrete or a second story (which is mine). Seeems like yours is to due to commments on sub flooring/adding insulation.
I think this spring I want to embark on a similar project...Thanks (I am in Austin, I might want to stop by one day)
