Same for you, happen to be down in Austin come on over!

I think you should shoot that VAC on down to me, you know, for safe keeping etc. :)

John/Mike/Zephyr - thanks for the kind words.....I do have a bit of obsession with lights Zephyr, I actually have added a couple cool new ones and will post pics but am waiting on my new amp to arrive then I'll do it all at once....thanks again guys, if you're ever through DFW drop me a line and come on by for a listen...

arthursmuck

With the exception of the Adona rack of which I a huge fan, I don't know your gear (from direct listening experience) however that room is gorgeous. The lighting is also very nicely done and contributes perfectly to the room.

Great job! I can imagine based upon reputation of the gear and the room you must enjoy this system very much!

Hi Arthur
WOW really nice setup that you have.
I was reading posts on line source speakers and the name Danny Richie came up several times.
I looked up the web site re the LS 9 speakers. They look very promising.
Have you taken delivery of yours yet?
Again, very very nice system and very cool room.
Take care,
Mike

Thanks much for the kind words. The lamps are from Pottery Barn, but I don't see them in the online store anymore, so not sure if they still carry them or not...

arthursmuck

Very nice room. Where did you get those floor lamps?

thanks for looking at my rig, my sytem doesnt get much press around here, guess it doesnt measure up, anyway my TT stand is homemade and not exactly ideal, it doesnt as of yet have enough of a foundation underneath but I am thinking of adding the "overboard" from overboard.com
I know these shelves can be found easily and a purchased one will no doubt be more ideal, although I love the wallmount as I have no worry about foot stomps and playing pets.
My goal is to have a room, any room that is my own for music.....yours is simply amazing. did you design the room yourself? I have little doubt that you worked very hard to get where you are at with both your gear and your room, but I hope you still feel pretty damn lucky now and then :)

Thanks very much Chad, I appreciate the compliment. Your system has the second wall mount shelf I've seen, I may need to look into that as I set up the TT rig. Do you mind if I ask where you got yours?

arthursmuck

I said it before but man that is one beautiful room you got there, it must be very relaxing to escape in that space. Ofcourse the gear you have adds a level of enjoyment I can only imagine is huge, there are a couple outstandings rooms here, and yours is far up on that short list..................enjoy!

Thanks Imdoc, I appreciate the feedback. The decay of the room is unbelievable now, to your point the staging is quite wide and deep (without being overdone), and imaging is very good as well. I've probably never been happier in this hobby than right now. I know there are better systems out there, but for the listening environment I set out to create, and to my ears, I think I may be home. I do want to add some diffusion behind me in front of the alcove, as I think that would further benefit the room.

arthursmuck

Great looking room. I should think you could hear way behind and to the outside of these speakers.

imdoc

Thanks Arthur. Actually I made it. The maple platforms are from Timbernation, the supports are from a hardware store, and the table sits on Ken Lyon's neuance platform. The springs are left over from a Promethean Base that I was using at my last house when I had the table set up on a rack on a sprung floor. It wasn't my intention to use them again, since my floors are carpet over concrete slab, and the table is wall mounted now. But they did make a noticeable improvement, so use them I did.

Thanks Ozzy! Your setup also looks terrific, kudos to you. Who makes the wall mount TT shelf you're using? If you don't mind me asking....

arthursmuck

Arthur,

Beautiful room. Don't know how I missed this one for so long. Well thought out and tastefully done. Bravo!

That's funny.I've recently done the same, albeit on a much smaller scale. You're going to love it.

Thanks Tvad, and thanks for your guidance and sharing of knowledge along the way, it's a big part of where the system is today.
