Scratch built single-ended class A EL-34 pentode amplifier using output transformers from Jack Elliano, two separate power transformers (for B+ and B-) a choke filtered power supply. Design inspired by Modwright Ambrose A10.

I've been using the 501 for years, but then the arm lift mechanism wore completely out. Somebody suggested using one from a 507, which I did, but I had to enlarge the hole in its holder, which I managed to accomplish using a Forstner bit on my drill press.
It works perfect again, so glad to have it back especially, since it's my only tonearm.
This has instantly become my favorite virtual system on A'gon. I also have a Dynavector 501 tonearm on my turntable, a DIY Garrard 401. A Zu Audio Denon 103R also gets its turn in the cartridge rotation.
