Better bass than the JL3?! Let me file that under "not a chance."
One thing that has always blown me away about all CAT amps is their amazing bass. Not just for a tube amp but for ANY amp. So how is it possible that the single-ended ML3--about which Fremer recently described the bass as "adequate" and "not the best there is, but better than expected"--have better bass than the JL3?
Theres only one explanation Strapper: your tubes are shot. That also explains your other comments about the JL3, none of which jibes with my personal experience.
Look, I have no horse in this race but it's pretty obvious you do. So I've got to ask: when did you get those tubes and from whom? Does this have anything to do with being a Lamm dealer?
