Interesting that you say a Linn amp may sound better. I had the Klout before I got the Aleph 30 and for me the Klout has been the best amp I have heard to date. And the new amps are supposed to better by a large margine.

Currently I am trying an older Classe CA100. Much more dynamic and articulate than the Pass, but not as refined. I will keep it a while until my system is balance and maybe beyond that.

I must say DVDs and TV is much more involving. Come to think of it everything is more involving compared to the Pass Aleph 30, much more musical IMHO.

Beautiful system! I love the Mac/Klipsh combo. To die for!

I have been down the Linn road as you have. Loved it. Should have kept it for a second system, but cost prohibative for me. I want to put system another Linn system together because old Linn has great sound and is affordable.

Went through entry Cary. Big, warm, but to dark. Not my cup of tea. I'm in limbo for now. I have been dreaming of getting McIntosh, but it is to pricey for me, unless it is old. Does old Mac sound good? Is it more musically inviting than Linn? In a perfect world I'd have a Linn system and a Mac system.

Currently I have an old Pass Labs Aleph 30 amp. Do you feel a Linn preamp would match until I can get a Linn amp, or is this a bad match?
