Description

My system goal was to enable the sound to be warm and neutral with enough power to play the music clearly at ALL volume levels. The tube phono stage gives the warmth that the SS amp and pre-amp need for the TT source. The Wavestream phono stage is VERY stable and integrates extremely well with the Boulder equipment. The Rockports can handle ANYTHING the amp can give it and more. With 91db sensitivity and capable of 112db max. Oh Baby!!!!

Hi Aaron,
I had the Grand Prix Monaco before the HRS base. I actually was auditioning the HRS for the CD and although it improved the overall sound about 5-7%, the base was really made for under a TT as it was oversized. When I tried it under the TT, I was able to get an improvement of closer to 15% and its been there ever since. I bought the smaller unit for the CD which worked a bit better for me that the large one. The HRS rack also doesn't have enough shelves for my system and is about 50 G's done right.
My listening room is 16 feet by 23 feet with 12 foot ceilings. I have the speakers set about six feet from the back wall and have not used any room treatments.....yet. I have to say, that I have been a bit skeptical using them but really haven't experienced the positives from them. I would love to hear more about them.
Thanks for the compliments on my lineup!
