2-channel living room system, with Meridian CD player, Magnum Dynalab tuner, Spectral amps, MIT cables, Magnepan speakers, Martin Logan subwoofer. SPL meter-tuned to have fairly balanced and full sound without boomy bass.
Aporigine, thanks. That is one of the avenues I've been considering. The others are: (i) looking for some mye stands for the 1.6s; (ii) swappiing out the 1.6s and the Depth for either Avalons / Wilsons, although the thought of setting up such heavy speakers seems a little daunting. In the meantime I've just parted ways with the DMA-90 and am currently waiting for a DMA-150 to arrive.
System edited: Changed CD player from a Sony SCD-XA9000ES to a Meridian G08. Added MIT Shotgun S1 RCAs for the G08. Currently there is an additional Meridian G06 in the system, connected by MIT Shotgun S2 RCAs. Added a Magnum Dynalab ST-2 antenna for the tuner. Replaced MIT MH-750E Plus speaker cables with MIT MH-750 Shotgun Series 2. Added Martin Logan Depth subwoofer, connected from preamp with MIT AVT2 RCA interconnects.
