Description

This is my main system, were I listen mostly to vinyls,fm radio and some digital files. I have the choice of two very different sounding turntables, depending on how I wish to listen to my records. The loudspeakers are the Yamaha ns-690 and have restored with new caps, internal wire is kimber cables. They have been tuned exactly for my room with metal oxide resistors instead of the controls. The room treaments are a personal design that use a lot of common sense to make a room that is not to live and not to dead. Feel free to leave any comments or ask questions. JD

Looks like a pretty cool, and pretty trick, system. Very Nice! I imagine maybe you think like me, make every buck count and get all your gear and room working on all levels as well as possible.

I've been thinking along the lines of building my own enclosures out of 3/4" bamboo as you've done. Was the bamboo pre-cut for you?? I've heard it can be difficult to cut without splintering a bit. If you cut it yourself, was it diffucult in that regard for you...did you take any special precautions? Thanks. Regards.

PS I've had Luxman gear in the past and was very pleased with it. I bet that amp sounds sweet!
