"A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful which God has implanted in the human soul."
Thanks Shadorne -- I actually have two Bassbusters in the corners and two RoomTunes on the sides of the room. The rear wall has some 3-D art that acts to absorb a bit, and my set up is reasonably near-field (I've recently moved my sitting area closer). I have many more room treatments sitting in the closet that were removed to appease WAF. I still may get some heavy curtains for the windows, and maybe even to cover the projector screen.
At one point I had eight Room lenses, corner tunes, diffusers and absorbers, etc. While the room treatments helped a lot, I've found the Tact room correction to help more in mays that matter to me. I can live with a little slap echo, but tire easily from boomy bass muddying up the mids. To each their own....
The Tact seems a good match: 150W/ 8 Ohms, 300 W/4 Ohms. These are actually the C-10ltd also. I'm still adjusting to the difference between these and the Selahs.
The Piegas don't put out quite as deep bass as the specs indicate, at least in my room (maybe they'd need to be closer to the front wall for that). So, I'll continue using my RBH subs and using the Tact 2.2x for sub crossover. At first I missed a little bit of the excitement, 'projection' and dynamic punch that the Selahs produce.
But the Piegas are extremely smooth and refined with plenty of air and detail -- they pull you into the sound in a way the Selahs don't. I'm not sure yet which I like more yet, but the Piegas are growing on me.
