Description

Building my first HT system. I want it to sound good for rock and jazz within a pretty thin budget, HT is secondary sonically.

Monster interconnects & wires now, also the PB1000 power strip.

I had the Klipsch KG-3.5's already and bought the KG-5.2's & KG-2.2 on ebay for 350.00. (opted for these instead of new RF series CC & in-walls)

Haven't got the sub yet, but this is the one I am leaning toward.

(BTW the CD Changer is really the CDC-645 buy it wouldn't add so I grabbed the 655.)

The TV will be the last piece to upgrade, probably in a year or so. (Still changing technology way too fast for my taste)

foreverhifi, thanks for the input.
The 5.2's 100w/8 ohms(1992-94) have a 1" phenolic Tractix horn 1800Hz hi XO, a 10" mid and a 12" passive woofer.
The 2.2cc 75w/8 ohms(1992-94) has a 1" phenolic exponetial horn 2200Hz hi XO, and 2 - 6.5" mids
The 3.5's 65w/8 ohms(1994-97) have a 10" polymer exponetial horn 1600Hz hi XO, an 8" mid & bass reflex port instead of the 12".

I made a change on the sub. I did some auditioning and decided to go with the B&W ASW600 10" ($440). Very tight, fast & clean, less boomy than the Def Tech. More what I was looking for (plus the maple finish matches the pecan flooring!).
