Description

Building my first HT system. I want it to sound good for rock and jazz within a pretty thin budget, HT is secondary sonically.

Monster interconnects & wires now, also the PB1000 power strip.

I had the Klipsch KG-3.5's already and bought the KG-5.2's & KG-2.2 on ebay for 350.00. (opted for these instead of new RF series CC & in-walls)

Haven't got the sub yet, but this is the one I am leaning toward.

(BTW the CD Changer is really the CDC-645 buy it wouldn't add so I grabbed the 655.)

The TV will be the last piece to upgrade, probably in a year or so. (Still changing technology way too fast for my taste)

set up right, you sould be able to get some very dynamic sound from that system! They key will be in proper speaker and seating placement, as well as overall set up. Still, the Klipsch's are dynamic sounding for sure. While I haven't heard the models you described, I KNOW YOU CAN GET A VERY CLEAN AND DYNAMIC system with the older RB3(?) book shelfs and that Def Tech sub! You sould also be crossing the speakers over as "small"(or at least "smaller") on your receiver, and letting the properly integrated(and placed) sub do the bass!!! They system will ROCK DYNAMICALLY!!
If those Klipsch's have powered subs in them, then that might change the set up paramaters(I'm not familiar with your Klipsch models listed).
Still, for a "first system", I think you'll get a good gauge of what you like with it! It will be strong for rock and movies at the very least. Now whether you like the refinement for other music, that's somethign you'll have to find out yourself....but I like your chioces I think! Good luck
