This is my extremely simple, 2-channel rig. The signal path is about as short as it gets: transport - digital amp - speakers.
I love the TacT; to be able to have my DAC, pre, and power amp all in one unit is just about ideal for my current living space space and busy schedule. I don't have time to mess around with several components separately, just want to get to the basics and listen to some music :).
Will probably be switching speakers this summer, the PSB's are good but just a little un-engaging at times. Currently looking at Selah or Salk monitors. Also will add in some new speaker cable (Speltz' Anti Cable most likely).
Sweet setup! If this is what you have in college, I can only image your system in 10 years... Very nice and neat also, unlike most college systems. I agree that PSBs are excellent, but they've never been at the top of my list because they are just too smooth sounding for me.
