Description

This is my extremely simple, 2-channel rig. The signal path is about as short as it gets: transport - digital amp - speakers.

I love the TacT; to be able to have my DAC, pre, and power amp all in one unit is just about ideal for my current living space space and busy schedule. I don't have time to mess around with several components separately, just want to get to the basics and listen to some music :).

Will probably be switching speakers this summer, the PSB's are good but just a little un-engaging at times. Currently looking at Selah or Salk monitors. Also will add in some new speaker cable (Speltz' Anti Cable most likely).

I was actually looking into possibly buying a Tact integrated. Couple questions:

1) What does it sound like? Any comparisons you can make?
2) Does your unit have the dynamic room correction? If so do you use it and what are you thoughts?

I've got so much random gear right now and the Tact intrigues me since it's pretty much everything I'm looking for in one box. Just been leery of the digital amps.

Thanks for the complements fellas :). I'm a bit OCD, so keeping things neat is an absolute must. Re: power cord on TacT, currently using a hospital-grade pc that is essentially an Iron Lung Jellyfish but without the fancy clear/purple terminations. It does the job and gives me a bit more peace of mind though I've never really decided whether or not I believe in the merits of higher-grade pc's in our rigs.

Looks sweet. Get yourself an upgraded powercord for the Amp.

Sweet setup! If this is what you have in college, I can only image your system in 10 years... Very nice and neat also, unlike most college systems. I agree that PSBs are excellent, but they've never been at the top of my list because they are just too smooth sounding for me.
