@brunomarcs
Thanks and have built many, many variants of the Helix for years but Furutech DPS is the best cable to date that I've heard and that's a lot...😁

Man those helix cables sure are nice looking

Hi there - I wonder if you could share what KT88 tubes you like/have tried in the Kootenay?

mogelsvs

They look awesome Wig! And I noticed you're selling your Sw1x Dac what's replacing it?

Those 15" full range drivers are very good sounding but I'm using a 3 way speakers system now, Liberty Audio XVOX and they are phenomenal...

wig

@wig I can't believe I've never seen or commented on your system! It looks great and love those single driver speakers I can just imagine how good it all sounds!

@ lak,

Thanks and need to update a new picture of current system.

Wig

wig

Wig, your system with the mods is looking very good!

lak

Hi Wig, again.

All good. I have captured each CPT image for my future reference. Thanks very much for sharing this information.

Cheers, Adrian

Hi Wig,

Lovely system you have. Mine is all packed ready to move house. I'll be getting ready to do the 1800 mods after we unpack in our new home. Can you keep the images of your mods up on line until I get to attack my own 1800's.

Thanks, Adrian

Nice System.

Did you used to use Teo Ultra IC cable?

If you prefer Verastarr cable to Ultra.   could you tell me why?

What Verastarr cables do you use now?

thanks

Thomas

Guys,

The Nanotec, Zen Wave and Teo was awesome but the Verastarr Cables are like Nothing I have ever heard...

Wig

Hi Wig,

What is your take on the Zenwave SMSG speaker cables?

Geoff

Hi Wig,
I'm wondering that you kick off the Nanotec PC 308 from your system. I thought, you was enthusiastic about they sound. What was the reason?
Thank you

Hi Wig,
Can you please tell me how the Teo Audio Splash Rs ic's sounded. What cables you replaced them with and why?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Joe

I saw pics one, three and four and thought that someone stole my MW5400ES. lol

I always love looking at your system and all the cool tweaks and tubes listed. Need more pics!

Keep rollin' tubeman,
Dave

The Line Magnetic 508IA looks very intriguing.  Does it have balance controls?

Nice system BTW... I like your selection of tubes and those big AZ Crescendo's have to sound great with your high powered SET integrated.

ASC Bass traps behind the speakers and corner traps on the ceiling.

wig

Wig, who is that "Draping" over on the right side of your room? Great system, btw. I had the AZ Adagios in the past, and would love to have these someday.

Doug99,

Love it! Sounds better than the Ayon CD2, Berkeley Alpha and EE Dac. Very musical in my system...

wig

Nice system.
How do you like the Sony ModWright 5400ES CD player.

Jim,

Top to bottom coherence, imaging, transparency, speed and musicality is why I chose the Crescendos; I haven't heard any speaker that's seamless as the AZ!

The Vac's tight bottom end, fast transients and beautiful midrange matches very well with AZ and I rarely turn the volume control past the 9 O-Clock position and they are slightly bigger, 14" or so taller. This photo was taken at a lower vantage point and they appears bigger.

Most of my recordings sounded the same with the Avalon's and the AZ extracts so much more detail, speed and truly disappear.

wig

Thanks, Rob.

Your system looks great. I especially like the red finish version of the Crescendos and your use of Stillpoints under them sounds intriguing.

I will definitely try to audition these speakers.

I don't know about the Avalons, but I don't think the Crescendos are all _that_ big...

rbbert

Hi Wig

Very nice system. I see that you changed out your Avalons for Acoustic Zen Crescendo. I also have the VAC 160i and am thinking of replacing my Tannoy DC10T with something having similar body and tone but with a bit more air, resolution and base speed and quality. Also needs to sound full at the lower volume levels that I prefer. Interested in your view of the synergy of VAC-AZ.

How would you describe the AZ Crescendo's ability to do that with VAC?

Also, the finish on those AZ's looks very nice but do you find them a bit imposing in size compared with your former Avalons which are more similar in size to my current speakers?

Thanks

Jim
