This is my first 2 channel system. I started with Audio Physic Spark speakers but they did not sound good in the large room. The Zu speakers are brand new....big improvement. I recently went with a tube phono stage although the internal Mac phono is very good. Any comments or tips would be appreciated
Wood floor and lots of glass......there is a challenge. I have found that area rugs placed directly in front of the system and more so directly in front of the speakers will greatly tweek the sound that is delivered to you. Give it a shot, they are not super expensive and easy to move and experiment with. 9 foot windows, must be a nice view? Window treatments are equally beneficial to what is delivered, (or not) to you in the listening position. They also have the factor of easy change out, color change, and wife acceptance factor. If you give these a try let me know if it works out, or simply what you find?
Great system. Not sure what the rest of the room looks like but have you given any thought to acoustic wall treatments? Even the addition of rugs, non-reflective wall hangings and overstuffed furniture can and will enhance the experience. Let me know what the remainder of the room looks like? Components are a great mix of some killer gear, nice choice, nice job.
