I started this hobby 26 years ago with the creation of my first radio station. It lasted for 5 years but at the end pirates get caught!
In the 90's I was a DJing in a club for 7 years. After quitting I realised I couldn't live without music so I started making a system which I could enjoy at home!
As a result of listening to music for so many years, the road for me was a difficult one as I couldn't find exactly what music was for me, real music!
I didn't want a reproduction system that was too different from reality as it's so false. I wanted the truth! I changed a few machines until I got to today s result.
The most important factor which helped me reach this was the sound I had in my head which I therefore wanted to listen to from an average reproduction system.
I dreamt of allot of constructions and legends and some of them came true! One of them was being able to get a TANNOY ! I got not just one but two! One of them was the TURNBERRY with 10" unit and the other was the G.R.F, both of them from the Prestige series.
Another one of my dreams was the Jadis Eurythmie but since only 50 pairs exist all over the world, only luck could get me one! Now one of them is mine!
This speaker is beyond any imagination. The design and the sound is unbelievable! I believe I have 95% of the sound I was dreaming! so............... :).

I can well imagine how spectacular your system must sound in person. Your very modest camera with its internal microphone already captures more of the true gestalt of the music than most of the super high priced audiophile systems that I have heard in people's homes or in dealer's showrooms. Proof once again that knowledge is more important than money when it comes to extracting the true performance potential of recording music. Having said that, I do acknowledge that solving certain engineering problems involves fewer compromises when one's budget is not tightly limited.
Hi Drajreynolds thank you for your comments The camera I use is the Panasonic TZ7 cheap camera without external microphone . so maybe you understand how is the real feeling
Thank you Syntax. maybe you are understand this system is not one system that you find to buy everywhere from (shelves) It is custom made system :)because the sound that I have in my mind I need to make real and don't ask how expensive is this way :) I would not like to write here
Certainly one of the more interesting systems here on Audiogon (or elsewhere for that matter). I have watched your system evolve and enjoyed your corresponding YouTube videos. May I ask which camera you used to make your videos? Did you record the sound using an external microphone? Great musical selections, BTW.
Very interesting System. Really. There are much more expensive ones out there, but yours would be the one to go for a visit. Interesting you tube video....
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a system, If you have achieved 95% of the sound you desire, Congratulations. Those are some speakers, one gets mesmerized just looking at them. While climbing the mountain of audiophilia, looking up at the peak, I see you up there.
Those speakers could play an alien life form in a Star Wars movie. Look like they could swallow a person whole. I often shut my eyes when listening but I don't think I would trust them enough to do so in front of them. WILD SYSTEM!!

Hello Jadisboy, I am following a very similar path as yours and somehow I see we have similar goals. I currently use a Tannoy Turnberry SE with ST-200 super tweeter, Nouvelle Platine Verdier - Auditorium23 version, Tonearm is still an SME 3012 S2 with ATA modification. For phonostage while I currently use a A23 SUT + Leben, I am looking at 47 labs as well as a future upgrade. In the past I too have used Yamamura M6000 cables :).
I have a question regarding Verdier. Where did you get the battery power supply from and are you still using the stock linen thread to drive the platter ?
Hi Jadidboy thank you for getting back to me I receieved the basic preamp I have my tube cd player on this preamp my Tanberg tuner 3011 and for lp playback I use a Nottingham hyperdeck table with a jelco arm and Shure cartrige and I slso have a old Thorens td 124 with a SME tonearm and Grado cartridge. First the preamp is still breaking in, listing to cd,s I got to put the volume up to 3:00 o'clock, with the tuner I can put the volume around 12 or 1 o'clock postion, now I donot have enough gain for LP playback and Iam useing AES tube phono stage and still got put volume around 4 to 5 o'clock postion. Now the sound with the cd player sounds great so far with my 2a3 SET amp my question now, is the preamp going to get louder during further break in period and do you think I should use a different phone preamp with higher gain. I must say that the preamp came with no markings only selector and volume and they were put on the wrong sides of the knobs, not a very good thing for a product that should be this good. I must also had I have some low output MC Denon cartridges that I would like to use but I will need a super hi input phono stage for this. thank you again, Ed
