great system and wanted to know how your rm9 is still treating you. I am looking to pull the trigger on this older model table as well --- and there are few reviews on it. I was hoping to add a clearaudio wood mm cartridge to it.
Dewald - super cool turntable and tonearms. I would like to try one of those in my system. I like the broadcast quality and reliability. And it's a classic. I almost purchased one recently, but the seller backed out after I paid for it. At least he returned my money...
The AKG K240 M's are the most comfortable phones I have ever owned. They are over-ear and dont press on the ear's pinna.
I also have a set of AKG K141 Monitors - nice sounding but not all that comfortable. And then also I have a set of Sennheiser HD25-13's - too much pressure on the ears but sound is also top notch.
Yes - I use the Proton to drive the phones - works for me totally.
I previously had a set of top JVC phones imported from Japan, a set of Numark crap, a set of Calrad crappies & big lousy Phillips phones.
Thanks - the ol SP-10 mkII is what it is all about. Transcription quality playback.
Brave move to do away with all your amps and speakers. Seems like you would keep them for the perhaps all too rare home alone moment. But having some good headphones are a must with others in the house. I am looking to get into a pair of AKG phones myself. I assume your using the Proton to drive the headphones. What other cans have you considered? Nice TT as well by the by.
