We moved into this home in April 2020 and this is the latest iteration of our den/listening room. The space is starting to feel cozy and we're very please with the sound. I also finally got all the art on the walls.
New adds this year:
DeVore Gibbon Super 8s, Heed X-2, vintage Meridian 206ΔΣ, lava lamp, and custom rack (solid mahogany).
Thank you. That's the goal with this space. The DeVore's sound good with nearly any genre and combined with the Heed amplification the detail retrieval is there, without sacrificing palpability. That in mind though, if a recording is not good this system does not beautify it.
Thanks for saying so. Being in this house for a couple years now we've been able to get this space feeling cozy and functional with the stereo system. Even at 15-16 years old these DeVore's carry their weight. They're keepers.
That stereo and the rooms vibe just seem so relaxing and enjoyable that I really have to admire it. Thanks for posting and I wonder what kinds of music does the system most excel at.
That's Ripley (yes - named after Ellen Ripley). Luckily she doesn't shed too much, but I spend more time than I prefer trying to stop her from jumping up onto the turntable.
@stereosanctity couldn't agree more with having that gratitude. You favoriting me?! That's the greatest compliment I've heard on this site - thank you! It seems like members rarely utilize the favorite button. I'm a huge fan. Your favorite list is wonderfully broad - found some new systems I hadn't seen before!
Wow! Thanks for commenting. It means a lot to hear that. This has been seven years in the making, and although I know what the weak points are, and have more grand plans, I'm pretty happy (and lucky) with what I currently have.
I'm also a fan of your systems and rooms. I remembering Favoriting your most recent system(s) a few years back.
Thanks for commenting. For the space I think I’m good sound wise (maybe a pair of O/Babies way out in the future). It’s very relaxing at night when the Phillips Hue bulbs are dimmed low. So many late, late nights.
