SORANE ZA12 Transcription Tonearm - FREE 2 day ship -All Factory Literature/Packaging

The Sorane ZA12 12 inch tonearm (actual effective length is 322mm, or 12.6772") is modern take on the high-mass tone arms of the golden age of analog, but updated for the here and now with contemporary alloys and high precision bearings with a minimalist and modern design.

This particular unit was purchased to go along with a commissioned rebuild of a Technics SP-10 Mk II to compare against the just released Technics SP-10R at the 2018 New York Audio Show by "Robyatt" (see photo) where his room won Best of Show. Sorane doesn't list the effective mass of this tonearm, but I did a rough calculation and it's up there in the high 20's close to 30. I've used this tonearm with my low-compliance carts and it absolute magic with my EMT, Denon 103, and Koetsu carts. If you've been considering a 12 inch, high-mass tone arm, you couldn't do any better than this for the money. New price for this tonearm is $2500.

Our home is pet-free and smoke-free. I am rating this tonearm's condition at 9 out of 10 only because there are some light scratches around the screw slots that the cartridge screws go into (they were there when I purchased it--there was probably a lot of cartridge swapping at the NY Audio Show).
