Selling my beloved Quad ESL-989 speakers. These were built, improved, and completely refurbished by Kent Mccullom at Electrostatic Solutions, and I bought them from him. This model has two bass panels per speaker, which greatly increases their bass extension compared to the base Quad ESL. They use the original Quad ESL "black panels" that Kent salvaged and saved for this pair, which he intended to keep for himself.  No other speakers can float such a 3-dimensional soundstage, wall to wall, floor to ceiling, and incredibly deep, with such realistic lifelike imaging. It's like you can reach out and touch musicians and singers. Highs are sparkling, the midrange is ravishing, and bass is surprisingly deep. These are the best speakers I have ever heard in 50 years of being an audiophile.  For any kind of music.  They are 52 inches tall, 26 inches wide, and 3 inches deep. They come with Mye Sound custom made stands that increase their rigidity.  I have only one original box, and it is not in good shape.  Local pickup preferred.
