The main inherent advantage of the full-range electrostatic loud speaker system is that it allows a single diaphragm to embody the conflicting attributes needed for optimal performance at both extremes of the audio range. Its thin-membrane diaphragm can be made exceedingly light, for superb transient response and extended HF response, yet it can be about as large in area as desired, for extended LF response. And since that diaphragm is driven uniformly over its entire surface, instead of from a small voice-coil, it circumvents the inherent problem of dynamic speakers in requiring that a large area be driven from a small area (the central voice-coil). The electrostatic’ s diaphragm does not require the element of rigidity in order to move uniformly over its entire surface. And because the same diaphragm handles both bass and treble, the electrostatic does not need a crossover, with its inherent phasing and audible discontinuity problems.

Electrostats are much more complex to design and build than any other speaker technology, as much an art as science; ensuring even distribution of the bias charge on the diaphragm, precisely maintaining the spacing of the stators to provide maximal and evenly distributed electrical forces on the diaphragm, insulating the diaphragm and stators to prevent “arcing” or other high-voltage breakdowns are solved through patented innovations.

• Next model down the line, is the Model 15, an outstanding Full Range ESL at 80 inches tall is only 40 lbs., the lightest in its class, full range planar speaker in the world extending down to 40 Hz!

• The bass is nothing like you have ever heard before. It is super fast, accurate, super tight and highly captivating. I would strongly recommend NOT trying a sub with the M35’s as this will only over enhance bass and over-energize the room. The bass is so well defined that when you listen to it you will be totally shocked at how well this stat can propel bass into your room without any artefacts whatsoever.
• The M35s are that one speaker system, when played it immediately grabs your attention and says “hey you! Now listen to the music!” The speed, accuracy and realism is so life like, it is something extraordinary from a full range stat design. It can go from soft to loud and loud to extremely soft in the blink of an eye. Micro dynamics and details can be heard at low volume levels, yet the speakers can kick out macro dynamics at loud volume without compression or breakup. It can deliver rock pumping levels if needed and will put many dynamic designs to shame in terms of transparency, openness, resolution, precision, and subtlety, a musical way with micro dynamic shadings and overall coherence and wholeness.

• Heard the Model 15 at AXPONA. Extremely impressed even with the tiny room.  This made me quite pleased as I had the Model 15 on order.  Without the planned audition and comparison, I changed my order to the Anniversary Model 35.  I have lived with the King Sound King 3, Final-Audio 700, Sanders Sound 10c, Magnepan MG20.1, 3.7i though not at the same time, and most of the Eminent Technology speaker models. All of them were implemented without subs.  Yes, there were Martin Logan hybrids mixed in also.  To say I am a dipole panel nut is an understatement.  What a joy that Final-Audio has successfully launched the Model 35 in the United States.  We wish them all success.  A refreshed look at electrostatic designs should always be welcomed.  Long live this iteration of Final-Audio

• Exceptional transparency, clarity, tonality as expected. But depending on the room contribution so much has its drawbacks too. They could also excel in imaging, but they don't. Room and size are to blame.
