Final made major improvements in electrostatic loudspeaker technology through several innovations.

Improved performance, lower distortion
Final speakers use a thin, Teonex PEN Film as the speaker diaphragm, an extremely durable aerospace material that is insensitive to UV radiation and using a proprietary technique, the conductive layer is embedded deep in the membrane rather than applied to the surface. This improves performance by virtually eliminating the distortion created by traditional electrostatic speakers that apply the delicate conductive coating to the top of the diaphragm. In addition to improving performance, the embedded design protects against scratches, dust, cigarette smoke and other damage, making it virtually indestructible.

When the panels are not used for a short period, their power supply automatically turns off and turns back on as soon as an audio signal arrives at the speaker terminals. This way, the membrane attracts less dust and is more durable over time.

Lightweight, ultra-thin design, wall mountable
Final’s patented technology has revolutionized the high-performance audio marketplace by separating the speaker panel from the bulky driver electronics. The lightweight, complete and uniformly flat acrylic panels are art in themselves, 6 mm thin (frame is 30 mm thin) and light enough to mount on the wall – the perfect combination of high performance and elegant styling.

Final electrostatic loudspeakers have significantly lower distortion than conventional motor driven cones and domes. The combination of low mass, high speed, instant acceleration and deceleration, reproduces the audio signal closer to perfection than any other speaker has ever done. Electrostatic speaker technology is the perfect complement for the high-resolution audio formats.
Newly developed Ultra Wideband audio transformers with C cores guarantee the highest resolution with a previously unheard richly detailed and extended high frequency performance.

Stiff Extruded aluminum frames
All Final frames feature precision manufactured aerospace-grade extruded aluminum alloy. This alloy never obstructs playable surface area or interfere with the panel’s dipole sound radiation pattern. It also provides electrical and acoustical isolation, minimizing intermodulation distortion caused by vibration and resonance. 

Flat vs. curved stators

• Final believes that the stator assembly should be flat, not curved, to maintain a symmetrical push and pull on the diaphragm.
  Symmetrical backward radiation with a focused reflected backwave eliminating diffused reflections and smearing.

• Good low frequency response due to linear excursion in both forward and rear directions of the dipolar radiation
