to get the best peformance out of your speakers get them off the ground. sound anchor makes stands for them. raised up about 8 inches will really open up the midrange and increase bass. the sound anchor stands will also increase the rigity of the panel as well. when they sit on the small spikes voices have a tendency to be down towards the bottom of the speakers. this is gone with the sound anchor stands. i have had these speakers and it works. you also have to sit close to them about what they are apart and have them toed in at you . this wil make them seem to disappear. i find that most peoples gear can sound great but they do not set speakers up right and sit way to far away when listening. i would move them closer in towards each other and experiment with your sitting place. you can use blocks to get them up to hear the improvement. 8 inches is the recomemnded highth if my memory is correct. there is someone else with these panels on this site. i would look up ML SPEAKERS and check his set up. he has subs with them but the way they are set up should give you a good idea.he also has stands but did not have the speakers on them when he took the pictures. if you can and try this setup try it without the tweeters. high frequencies actually start to roll off moving up the range from about 8-10khz to 20 khz. i think the stands will solve alot of issues for you and do this with no subs hooked up until you get the best out of the panels first
