I wanted a system to play CD's with a minimun of distractions.
This is my first system since the 70's. I cannot believe how good it makes my music sound, and how much my wife and I enjoy it. I listen 1.5 hours every day with no fatigue. It changes character with the recording. We listen to sacred and classical music, and a good recording really comes alive.
I looked at lot of monitors but decided that the three-way were for me.
I was interested in a CD player with variable output so I could forgo a preamp.
This is one of the best systems I've seen that qualifies as simple. Wonderful to see gear of this quality not loaded down with questionable tweaks. Must be very satisfying.
