Sometimes the room is less than optimal to maximize audio quality. I have known others who had their speakers in front of their dining room table, given space constraints. Nonetheless, listening to music is most important to you. Kudos!!!
If you can't pull the speakers forward, you might try some absorption behind them and a diffusor between them. You may find this cleans up bass clarity and improves focus.
Nice clean one manufacture electronics that looks nice w/ small tower speakers. I'll bet this quality combo sounds excellent and I know the issue of a small listening space. But having the front baffle of speakers slightly in front of audio rack and the plant w/ pay dividend in soundstage presentation. Sadly your dining room table has to be a problem likewise. Regardless you still have a wonderful system and congratulations on a well conceived stereo.
I've played around with positioning for years shifting a little here a little there.
Another member suggested more toe in and away from the wall, space is very limited, the room size and life just will not play ball with set up.
I pulled them forward setting them exactly the same albeit slightly left of centre, checked then toed in a few cms and wow that really opened things up, so much I'm reluctant to try more for the fear of losing what I now have.
I always considered toe as the enemy of ss but how wrong I was.
Have you ever tried playing around with speaker placement? Getting them out 1,2, or 3 ft. from the wall may provide significant improvements. Enjoy the ride!
