Salvatore Ciriolo nice system, if you want that LIVE sound, horns from Acappela, Avantgarde, Zingali, are the way to go, though they tend to be very expensive! You may want to listen to Magnapen 3.6r, Martin Logan Prodigy, Sumit. Final ESL You can find some of these speakers used on Audiogon at gtreat prices! I tend to think that the best loudspeakers are all out of the BOX designs. They just have a more open and involving sound. I would also stick with tubes. If you ever get a chance to listen to tube pre amps or monoblocks, check out Viva. Some of the amps I've ever heard.
HI,I have had a Mark Levinson 26 and a 26S. But they are unprovided of the input "Processor",necessary now for to use the loudspeaker also like front channels in the H.T. System. However in this period, I have learned to love the ARC Ref 2 MK II, and I believe that it is an optimal companion for my M.Levinson 23.5 .
Mark Levinson Gear is not what is used to be! and Neither is Krell. Look at older pre-amps like CAT or even Tube Pre-amps from VAC their Reference design looks awesome! or ML-26 Pre-amp Dual Mono Design mid 80's from Mark Levenson.Or Krell KBL line Level used around $1000.
