    • Prairie Audio JBL/Beyma speakers
I got some new speakers -- from a local builder.

They are custom high efficiency speakers. These use a JBL 2226H woofer and a Beyma TPL-150 AMT tweeter. Top grade parts used, 12GA Geortz Alpha Core inductors, VH Audio ODAM caps, Clarity caps, Mills resistors, Cardas litz wire and Cardas binding posts. Cabinets are constructed from 19mm Baltic birch play, front panel is 3 layers thick, all other sides are constructed using CLD with decidamp. Sealed design. The veneer is Kewizinga, similar to bubinga. The panels were all CNC cut for a perfect fit.

The measured output at 2.83V with a 300-3kHz band limited pink noise signal is 97dB at 1M. They are about 19W and 40H and my about 120 lbs each. A very tube friendly load and can be driven by even a low power amp.
    • Dynaco ST-35
Dynakit ST-35 amplifier with an old original Dynaco transformer, purchased on Ebay in 2025.

Awesome!  It's cool tossed where you are now in this hobby.  I remember our initial conversation with Salk Sound.  Had to have been 6 years ago?  Not sure.  But yeah, awesome progression through the hobby.  The room is looking fantastic and I'm digging your choice of speakers.  Really cool stuff.  Maybe we can still get together someday.  I'd love to hear your setup

Hey Bro, the systems lookin’ great!  Quite the journey we’ve both been on over the past year.  I remember when we first started talking and you were were considering the wow1.  The wow1 might be the best bargain I’ve come across with regards to driver cost vs selling price.  Just off the charts with the wow1.

Anyhow, congrats on putting together a really nice system.  I bet when you started this journey, you didn’t plan on having something like you’ve got now.  I sure didn’t think my rig would be where it’s at now after just 1 year.

Not much else to do now except to enjoy the music and share the knowledge you’ve gained.  Enjoy!
