My room is dedicated, 15 ft wide, 21 feet long and 9 foot ceiling. Walls built custom with ASC tube traps wall damping system and double sheetrocked with 2x6 studs on 8 inch centers. Surrounding damping in room with ASC tube traps, base traps and wall traps. The room is exceedingly quiet with minimal audible reflections. The system has great synergy between components and by my ear offers the best qualities of 'tube like' sound with the best qualities of solid state.
Newest Rockport/Andy Payer design. Exceptional build quality, custom drivers, new tweeter wave guide. Fantastic bass - tuneful, textured and detailed, yet fast and extended. Palpable midrange with great image density and texture. Smooth extended and extremely 'open' highs with great decay and ambience/space retrieval. Sound staging with 3D images even in the back portion of soundstage. Great macro and micro dynamics. Overall, realism of soundstage is so believable its spooky. Cant find a fault with them with the exception that one must be extremely patient with set up - it pays off big time though!

Looking at your system and room again....love the way it looks and the gear you've assembled; you must be extremely happy with the overall sound and total listening experience. You are very fortunate to be able to build out and tune this room to your liking! Did you try other bass traps and wall tuning items before deciding on ASC? What led you to your final choice of the ASC? Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks Phil...very much appreciated! I've been through several very good conditioners. This is the best I've used in my system. The article should be out this fall from what I am told....
Phil...the Bybee Stealth just arrived, fully broken in as it is the unit that will be the subject of a forthcoming review on 6moons; after a day or so to warm up and settle in, I can tell you that for my system, it's a game-changer, nothing less. I've posted some comments on my system thread and elsewhere but suffice it to say it brings a purity and tube-like presentation to the sound-staging, imaging and overall musicality of the system that I've not been able to experience to date as happy as I was with the system.
Still marveling at your system...for vinyl, it must be hard to break away from that combination of gear, cables and treatments. I'm in the Northwest corner of SC; if you are ever close, let me know, you are welcome for a listen!
Thank you Sir...you should be very proud of that system, Avalons are one hell of a speaker and the rest of your gear sums up to one great experience from what I've heard. I may send a couple of questions your way soon. The AERIS are an amazing system and in this room with the new panel and circuit components I just put in sounds even more lifelike and musical. I have a Bybee Stealth fully loaded conditioner on the way by next Tuesday which should be another step up so I am very excited....
Beautiful system!!! I can only imagine how great it must sound. I have a somewhat similar new room (in terms of approximate size and orientation plus the slopping room contour for me on only 1 side. How did you determine what treatments were needed and which particular units did you go with from Auralex? Also....that appears to be the largest bass trap I've ever seen; how did you determine you needed one that large and the unique position it seems to occupy (versus off towards the corners, etc...)? Thank you!
