LS360s w/MA6500 amp & MVP861 disc player. I've since replaced the speaker grilles since it turns out the Bessel Tweeter Arrays depend on directional flanges integral to the grilles.

Looks like a wall of books, but I've done the unthinkable and put bookshelf speakers in a bookshelf! Upper are Teac Concentrics and Lower are Wharfedale Diamond 220s. This is more about fun than anything else, as it's in the same room as the big Mac speakers

'Exotic' Corner of Main Listening Room. At least the speakers here are in use--as rear reverb. They're on a 12ms delay. Polk RTiA7s with socks stuffed in their ports. The Zenith is from 1936 and actually works, but of course I don't listen to it. I may rig up some LEDs for its neato dial though. (Done now; photo forthcoming.) What's exotic here? The WAF sound-diffusing panels (the carved woodwork imported from Burma), Italian marble flooring, and the lantern which I found in Istanbul.

Yamaha/Rotel/Hitachi + Phillips Speakers

A Maggie Corner. Yeah I know Maggies shouldn't go in corners.

An old attempt at piecing together a view of the (separate) MLR. It's changed a lot since then, so maybe I'll find a fisheye lens or something and give this space its own page. The ceiling isn't even visible here--it's a beamed, cathedral ceiling sloping up to about 22ft high. Not only has a lot of the equipment changed since this photo was taken, but I've really gotten into neon and have quite a selection. Don't ask me why, 'cause I don't know!

Although technically vintage, the rebuilt ADS speakers are among the best-sounding speakers I own.

Fun little MC754 which I loved but have now sold!

Infinity Kappa 6.1 S2 .. need to figure out where to use them. These are actually my favorite Kappas. The S2 have the front ports and they are three-way which means you don't have a xover in the midrange. Instead you have a midrange driver and in this case it's the legendary Kappa Polydome.

Yamaha pieces. went in the bedroom system with DefTech and Polk speakers. Everyone likes to go slumming sometimes :)

Way too many amps around here! This one may go soon. But it's a surprisingly sweet-sounding piece delivering a real sense of warmth and intimacy. More proof that you don't have to pay up for big names to get good sound.

Have been at this for only two years, unlike many others here. Need to spend some time in this (first) room and listen! My 'extra' systems are actually nicer than my main systems because I listen all the time and don't want to over-use the good stuff! Yes I know that's slightly crazy. Also notice -- No TV! (Because I am a music lover.)

I listen to jazz about 90% of the time nowadays. Mostly acoustic piano trios, sometimes with a horn or two. I throw in some rock, new wave, and even (well, especially) classical now and then. (Just added a list of my favorite composers, for those interested in broadening their horizons, or poking fun at mine.) Though I have three TTs I'm almost always digital now. (Correction, see update!) For the most part, give me a piano, a standup bass, a drum set and maybe a trumpet or two and I'm a happy man. Oh yeah and of course a suitable beverage for a jazz club.
