Great to hear that it worked out for you. I am sure that it sounds just fantastic. So it is safe to say that you have very little regret going with the Denon Pre? I have seen that around and it does look like a serious piece of gear. Congrats on getting what you hoped for.

Wow. seven Salon's and 4 113's. That really must sound incredible. Was it a pain to get the crossovers, delay times and phase adjustment? Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Got you on the subs. I just know that some people like the "cool" factor of the Gotham. Too bad about the room. I know you put a lot of time and effort and cash into this room. Hopefully, the lessons learned here can make the transition an easy one.

Sorry to hear about the speakers. I have seen that Denon around. It looks fantastic. The fathoms should be a nice addition. I have never heard them though(I have a Seaton Sound Submersive1). 4 should be quite nice. Any reason you choose the 4 113's as opposed to going the Gotham route. Placement issues?

mikeduke

Or did you get them already and I am just a little slow on the uptake and memory :)

Any time line on the other pair of Salons and the Brystons. Sorry to hear about the issue with your projector. I hope you can work out the problem without too much more of a headache :(.

mikeduke

I got you. That's cool. With a sensitivity of 86.4 I am sure those speakers take every thing the Ayre can dish out. I am sure they would love that Bryston.

mikeduke

That's great. Do you see yourself keeping the Ayre Mono's? I can't make the claim of being done. There are still things I have and want to do. Can't wait to hear about the the new Salon2's.

"You might be interested to know that I am going to pursue a full 7.2 surround system of Salon2s! I'll update when it is finished, stay posted!"
Double WOW. If you listem to MC music I can imagine that it will sound freakin fantastic. So does that mean the denon will be your "cd" player? My room is small and I have limitations but I am also on the move. I have a few upgrades myself in mind. It will take a while, but I hope to be able to do all of them. I will be checking this thread out to see what happens. I just noticed that you have the Salon's in the back as well. So all you need are the sides an you will be set. That is sweet.

WOW, seeing those 3 revels up front is very cool. I am sure now that the front stage is completely seamless. So you took the Ayre preamp, and player out? Are you going to have a dedicated 2ch system just for them? Again, that looks really sweet.

Great looking system. I heard the WP8's at CES with a few different pieces of gear. They sounded very very nice every time I heard them. That is a great looking room. I know I PM'ed you about Ayre before. They are still on my short list.
I also know what you mean about positioning of speakers. It took me about 2 weeks and moving my speakers just inches at a time to get it right. I use JM Labs 1027Be speakers. Once again, that is a fantastic looking setup.
