If you want to stick with KEF, I can tell you that the R11 sounds amazing driven by McIntosh. A friend of mine has a set in piano black. Absolutely gorgeous, though his listening area was a bit larger than yours, going by your photos.
I'd love to have them, but my relatively small condo living room dictated going with LS50s and subs. Someday, though...
Another interesting candidate, also with a coaxial tweeter-midrange, is the Tannoy Revolution XT 8F, which I listened to at a store in Philly, last year. Sounded very nice driven by McCormack amps.
