Major Changes in 2010. Added Magico V3s, Wavestream V-8 Monos, Wavestream Preamp, Wavestream Phono, and the Berkeley Alpha Audio DAC. Upgraded some Tara Labs cables as well. The sound is glorious.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks for looking, Terry.

Wavestream V-8 Monoblocks
Wavestream's Top V-8 Mono Tube Amps, currently in Triode Mode running with Tungsol 6550s biased to run in Class A.
Do you recall which VAC components were auditioned with the Wavestream? How would you characterize the sound of each of these fine company's products in your room?
Thanks and congrats (I noticed your ad for the V-8's).
System edited: I sent my Tara Labs Air 1, Series 2 cables back to Tara and had them all re-terminated (before the line is gone -- these are a discontinued model).
I have done a major rehaul of all front end electronics. After auditioning Vac gear, VTL, McIntosh and Odyssey gear I have found a local Nor. Cal company Wavestream. I have an all Wavestream system now - V8 monos, Phono, and Pre. The sound is perfect with Magico. I bet it would out do the Soulution combo that many have raved about. It is the best I have ever heard on my V3s. Nearly everything is new - except the Berkeley DAC. I built a music server around a Lynx 16 card, crystal AES cable from Lynx to Berkeley. HiRez sounds amazing and the vinyl sounds better than ever. I'll put some pictures up soon.
Finally broke in the Odyssey Kismet Monoblocks. The sound is really nice. Very musical. Sounds wonderful on both the Analog and Digital sides. I'm using the Accuphase as a CD transport right now, running it via coax to the Berkeley Alpha DAC.
I got new mono amps today. Too early to review; I suspect the sound is going to be awesome once they break in. I chose Odyssey Kismet Monos. Once the system is all back together I will post new pictures and reviews.
Top speaker choice! And based on your remarks in comparison against the 802D I do admire your hearing, but well, it was an easy call after all.. =) Enjoy your music!
System edited: I just had the Magico V3's delivered tonight. Holy cow. I am sitting here in utter awe. I've seen tons of flames about how this company is over priced and the reviewers from mags have them all wrong. You may not agree with me but this is the best sounding speaker I have ever heard.
Im going this year, will be my first time and Im very interested in hearing the Isis. Great timing too, Ive sold my speakers and in the market for something new. Hope to see you there, Regards John
Hey John, It's been a while since I logged in. I've been listening to music as often as I can. I really stopped upgrading the system for the past year.
I'd probably get Avalon speakers, I love the Isis speakers. Heard them at the Denver show. They melted me. I listened to high end Wilsons, and liked them, but the Isis connected with me. I'd love to test them in my system to see how they sound with the ma2275 and the tubes.
Hope all is well with you. Thanks for checking in!
Hi Terry, glad to see the tubes are working out. Was surfing thru the members list and came across your rig. Very sweet indeed, what other speakers did you have in mind if you won the lottery? Regards John
Very nice system. Enjoyed reading your impression of the change in sound in tube changes for your beautiful 2275. You have a system that your house can grow into.
