This is a simple system that sounds good. The speakers are 10’ apart and 12’ from the listening position and 2' out from the rear wall.

The room is open concept room, 1200 square feet with 10' ceilings. It is tile on concrete with drywall and glass sliders construction with no treatments, but there is a rug between the speakers and listening position. There is 21' of open space behind the listening position to the rear wall.

- Mofi Sourcepoint 8
The Mofi Sourcepoint 8s replaced the Magnepan LRS+ which replaced the Spatial Audio M3 Sapphires which replaced the Salk Veracity STs...all amazing in their own right.

The 8's handle from 70hz and up and are helped by the RELs which are run in mono and crossed at 70 hz
- OPPO 205 Disc Player
With the Lyngdorf handling the digitial to analog work, the 205 is currently being used as a transport.
- Lyngdorf Audio Lyngdorf TDAI 1120 Integrated Amplifier
The Lyngdorf replaced the AHB2 which replaced the Pass XA25 which replaced the Wells Majestic. Each fantastic in their own way.

The Lyngdorf has the Room Perfect room optimization system but equally important also includes 8 separate implemental user designated filters (PEQ, Hi Shelf, Low Shelf, etc.) allowing the user to tailor the final sound to their room/liking.

Lyngdorf calls itself a digital amplifier because it takes the input digital signal from various sources and converts them directly to an analog speaker output.

The Lyngdorf is also a streamer. I’m using it to stream Tidal. Streaming represents about 80% of my music listening while CDs get the remaining 20%.
- REL Acoustics Dual REL 1205 MK ll Subwoofers
The REL 1205 MK ll is a sealed 12" sub without speaker input connections. Various reviewers say it sounds very much like the T9/x but with a little more body to the tone.
I added dual 1205s to the system to better balance the room nodes...doing so has had an excellent result...the bass now has more detail, more tone and more impact.
- Blue Jeans Cable Coax Spdif Cable
The Blue Jeans Spdif cable is used to send the digital output of the Oppo 205 to the Lyngdorf 1120
- Home Crafted Speaker Cables
I used 4 wire HTD, shielded and ofc copper stranded cable, crossed the opposite 14awg wires to create 11awg legs and then attached Sewell bananas.

I have owned Digital Amplifier amps from the beginning including the Cherry. I now have Tommy’s Golden Cherry mono blocks. They are very articulate . Your comments are solidifying my decision to by a used pair of Salk Verasity HT3’s. I have a pair of Quad 63’s And Ohm 3000’s. This gives me three very different speaker systems.
