My audio room is on the second floor of my home so I needed better isolation of speaker-induced low frequency vibrations. The Townshend podiums do a pretty good job with this while also doing no harm with other aspects of my system. Overall a good improvement in my system.
Thanks very much. I’m pretty much married to my Naim electronics and my 3.6s-which are 21 years old. Based on listening to some new and more expensive speakers, they still sound better than most.
Hope you hang on to your 3:6s. Unless I decide to upgrade to newer Thiels, I expect to hang on to these.
The Tandberg was recently rebuilt by Soundsmith in Peekskill, NY. I was really happy with the results especially since It’s really hard finding good techs for these decks.

Naim equipment is a great match; Naim amp has no trouble driving my 3.6s to levels louder than I care to listen and is tight and accurate.
I wanted to keep the speaker away from the right-side wall since I’m in a condo and it’s the adjoining wall. Maybe some day I’ll try changing the setup but I’m not sure it’d be worth the effort since I’m happy with the setup as-is.
