I like your reasoning and I use Townshend Isolation Bars under my subs. I have suspended floors and they completely eliminated the mechanical feedback that was coming into my turntable. My turntable has spring loaded feet, and I recently read a post here about avoiding multiple sets of springs on the same rack. For example, I was thinking about placing my entire rack on one of Townshend's spring products, but thought I may wind up with a bad interaction with the rack springs working with/against the turntable springs. I thought I'd mention this, because I noticed that you use springs as well for your turntable.
