Your system must sound pretty nice. What do you use for sources? The Carvers are a wonderful tube - LOTS of power, huge dynamics,...so on and so forth. They are exceedingly rare however. A few semi-reliable sources indicate they only made 60 or so. I have only seen 2 sets ever offered - one on Audioclassics several years ago, and one set here on Audiogon (which I picked up).
I have powered the Beta's using the Citation 7.1 for all channels, the MC-1000's on the planars and Adcom GFA565 on the bass, Marantz Model 2 mono tube amps on the planars and Adcoms, but like my stock configuration of CSS on the planars and MC-1000's on the bass. The Beta's were designed tubes driving the planars and solid state driving the bass and definitely sound best driving that way.
If you haven't been here, its a good reference site. http://oellerer.net/infinity_classics/
