This integrated amp has recently been modified by the renown Vince Galbo after having a problem with the right channel. I figured I could just have the channel problem fixed or I could turn the amp into a figurative "Ferrari" and enjoy the ride. Waiting for the amp to be returned. Can't wait.

I finally received the High Fidelity Cables MC-06. Wow, that certainly opened up the sound stage quite a bit. I was thinking that this was permanently lacking in the system. The owner of High Fidelity Cables also indicated that Stabilant 22 would also help the sound stage. This is the next relatively inexpensive tweek.
The DAC, amp is a really good combination. I am still trying to figure speaker placement and not quite sure I have it figured out just yet. I am happy with Anticables aside from they are stiff and don't really look as cool as some of the thicker cables. The Kef Reference 1 can be biwired and the Plinius has this set up as well. I spoke to the owner of Anticables who believes that his highest end speaker wire (level 5) should go to the midrange/tweeter unit with my existing level 3.1 going to the bass unit. The bass does not need any help, but I am looking into tweeks to improve sound stage and ambience mentioned by the owners of both Anticables and High Fidelity Cables, both really great guys by the way. I have some Audioquest cables which are good and well made, in general. I think the Anticables sound better, but the High Fidelity cables might be something I'm looking into as well.
Well, this will be my system. I am waiting for the rack, some cables and for my Hiato to be recapped. I'll hopefully have it all together in about 3 weeks.
