After looking for weeks and visiting about 5 potential repair places in the area (Chicago) to get the woofer surround fixed , I had no confidence in the options available and decided to do it myself. I took my time. Carefully remove the old foam surround and clean meticulously. I did multible dry runs before gluing the new one on, while running it with 20Hz to make sure nothing is rubbing and all is moving nicely. I felt this was the best way to maintain the original integrity of it functioning. It took me a weekend with breaks and coffee and I am very happy with out come. Now after I am done, I can not imaging anymore having some monkey repair-guy take them out of the cabinet and attempting to rebuild , dropping glue all over and banging up my cabinet putting them back the wrong way or demaging the feedback sensor. Sooooo glad I did it with the respect these speakers deserve and I should be good another 20 Years with this .
