Hi Willie. My response is late to you as well!! I don't check this out all that often. Thanks for the info on AE. The thing is, I have a pair of Wilson Watt Puppys and a pair of Wilson Maxx 2's My Watt Puppys did not have the Puppy Paws (man, where does Dave Wilson come up with these parts names??) when I got them.  By the way, the umbilical cables from the bass cab to the mid/high cab is called the Puppy Tail !!

I contacted AE in regards to ordering the Puppy Paws, and they would not get back to me at all. What's with that?!?!?! I wanted to deal with AE for this purchase, as they are the closest Wilson dealer to me. I now deal with Filtronique in Montreal. Thierry, over there has been quite good to me, and I have since then made a number of purchases, and have also introduced a good friend of mine to Thierry, and he too has now made purchases from Filtronique. I guess my point is in regards to how potential customers are treated. If AE had responded to me, even though the Paws were only a $600.00 sale, they would have sold much more to me, and also to my friend as well. By not acknowledging a small sale possibility, they have lost all of my future possible sales. How short sighted of them.

By the way, thanks for the compliment on my TT/arm combo. I love the Reed. It was a bit out of my budget when I made the purchase, but a friend of mine in LA bought my SME 345, so that helped offset the cost of the Reed. Good riddance to the SME anyway. I don't understand the lack of VTA with SME, or Rega arms. Is this a British thing?? Probably not, as Graham has the adjustment. I really was considering the Graham Phantom 2, but a number of people who know a lot more than I do, thought it would not be a good match for my Delphi. I suspect it has to do with the suspended plinth. What really got me about the Reed was the adjustable azimuth "on the fly" Holy cow Willie, does this ever work slick!! I plugged  in my Fozgometer (wonder if Dave Wilson had something to do with naming that?) HAHAHA, and I had the cartridge aligned and locked into place in about 2 minutes!!! The VTA on the fly works quite smoothly as well. It will be the last tonearm I will ever need Yeah right!! Famous last words LOL. Oh, I did not get the KLE rca's.

Keep in touch Willie. I'm off to Europe for a month in another week, so I'll check in when I get back to Canada.

    Cheers

Oh, thanks for the compliment shadorne. I have been into audio since my childhood. Music has always been an extremely important part of my life. You ask a very difficult in regards to my single most cherished piece of gear. I don't really know how to properly answer it, as they all work together in unison to create the "magic" I can easily say that the one item I could part with, and not shed a tear, would be the McIntosh MCD 301. Not because of any issues with it, but I am not a fan of CD's, and play them seldom. Vinyl is "it" for me. That being said, I suppose my turntable/tonearm combination would be my favorites, if I had to choose.

Funny that you ask though. A while back, one of my clients asked me if I had to choose between my HiFi and my motorcycles, what would I do. I had never been asked such a question, and was speechless for a few minutes. I gave it some thought, and ultimately concluded that I could not make a choice. I could not imagine life without either. Luckily, these are choices that don't have to be made.

Sorry, I'm wandering of topic a bit. My bad!!

Thank you for your interest shadorne
