I'm just now seeing this post. I have 60 lb weights on top of each speaker. I feel the weight sharpens focus of the bass.
The tube Modwright Oppo combines my favorite attributes of digital with analogue. I get the dynamics and black quiet background of digital with the realism and non-fatigablitiy of analogue.
I was listening to the SACD Tumbleweed Connection by Elton John last night....total musical immersion!
