Hello Richard,

thank you very much. I used to own 1 ohm Scintillas as well, its actually my first Apogee Love :-) True about the tubes, i tried a lot of different amplifiers with the Grands. Solid State (Krell KSA100, KSA150, KSA250, KRS200, Sphinx 18, Sphinx 12 etc...), Class D (HCA2), Hybrids (Sphinx PJ14) and many different NAT Tube Amplifiers (SE1, SE2MKI, SE2MKII, SE3) and finally came close to giving up before spending a lot of money for the NAT Transmitters. I used to have a CAT JL1 on the Grands as well.

The blue light is the Vacuum Fluorescent Display units. Each speaker is active (8 channels of amplification) and with the remote control you can turn the speakers on, adjust the levels, rake, save presets etc...
