Description

Room size 25x19x10 (living room). Main system, 2 channel. (Pics not updated for inclusion of turntable)

Amps : Modwright LS100 preamp tubed with NOS Philips 5AR4 rectifier &  NOS Sylvania , Raytheon, or Tungsol 6SN7s.  Modwright KWA100SE power amp. Finale Audio 7189 (MK2) integrated amp with upgrades - Hashimoto transformers , DH Labs gold input , Mundorf Silver in Oil caps .  Amp comes with NOS Russian 6N14N-EB (7189s), and new production JJ 5AR4 rectifier and 12ax7s. I replaced the rectifier and 12ax7s with NOS RCA 5AR4 and GE 12ax7s.    Line Magnetic 518 integrated amp is tubed with stock 845s, I swapped in NOS Mullard 5AR4 rectifier, NOS Phillips 6L6GCs, NOS GE 12AX7s or Tungsol 5751s. I rotate between the Modwright, Line Magnetic & Finale Audio amps every 2 weeks or so , each easily drive the Daedalus Argos V2s ; each offer a different presentation and I enjoy them all.

Analog - Music Hall Stealth Turntable, Ortofon 2M Blue & Bronze cartridges, Clearaudio Smart Phono V2

Speakers : Daedalus Argos V2s; Taket Live Supertweeter

Isolation:  Neodio Origine B2  - used under Line Magnetic 518ia  and ,Finale Audio 7189Mk2, Neodio B1 integrated into Neiodio Origine S2 CD player ; VooDoo Iso Pods underBlue Circle power conditioner, Stack Audio EQs under Modwright LS100 preamp and Music Hall Stealth TT  . Herbies gliders under racks; Stack Audio Auva 100  Speaker Isolators  under the Argos. Home made wood speaker cable elevators; AudioQuest and Cardas RCA caps

Cables: Interconnects are :  Tchernov Ultimate Slim RCA  between DAC and preamp, or integrated amp depending upon which amps I'm using, Tchnerov Reference 2 RCA between Clearaudio Smart Phono and preamp or integrated amps. and Acoustic BBQ RCA between preamp and power amp.Phono cable - Triode Wire Labs Spirit 2.  Power cables are Audio Art Cable Statement E2 Cryo on Line Magnetic  integrated amp , power amp and preamp, Power1 ePlus cryo on Finale integrated amp;  and Zenwave Audio PCR 14 on Neodio CD Player . Speaker cables are Blue Jeans 10 gauge and I have LessLoss Firewall for Speakers connected between the Blue Jeans and the Daedalus speaker terminals. Anticables Level 2.1 speaker cable for supertweeter

I replaced the spikes and Daedalus speaker isolators with Stack Audio AUVA 100s. Increase in SQ and the added benefits of better speaker stability and ease of movement. I also replaced the VooDoo Iso-Pods under the Modwright LS100 preamp with Stack Audio EQs; again an improvement in SQ

I swapped in Taket's new Live supertweeter to the main system (haven't updated the speaker picture yet; and moved the Taket Batpro 2 into my 2nd system

I just added a Zenwave Audio PCR14 power cable and placed it with the Neodio Origine S2 CD player. I will give it some time to break-in before further comments but no degradation to the SQ upon installation.  I also added Neodio Origine B1 Acoustic Purifiers under the integrated amps. The SQ with the B1s improved noticeably, more body and weight to the sound.

I need to update the system photos . I just purchased a Neodio CD Players putting it into my main system. To my ears it is very musical, natural sounding player with no fatigue factor. I moved the Mojo Audio EVO DAC and Sinaudio 260D Cd Transport into my 2nd system; moved the Modwright Elysee DAC out of the 2nd system into storage.

Feel free to let me know Bill. BTW I placed an order over the weekend with Colin for a Tchernov Ref 2 IC based upon your feedback to me on it relative to the Double Helix. It will be a few weeks before I receive it but looking forward to trying it out.

Just added a Taket WHD Pure (Woofer Hi Definitioner) adds tonal improvement to the mid-range and bass and works in conjunction with the supertweeter

Just added a Taket Batpro2 Supertweeter; hooked up to the Daedalus ArgosV2s via Anticables Level 2.1 speaker cable. I need to let the Batpro2 break-in some , but in a very limited listening sample I think I prefer it set at 2 which is 80db as it seems more coherent/seemless top to bottom. Need more time as well to evaluate full effect but they seem to add more a little more separation and detail

Added 2 more Audio Art Statement E2 Cryo power cables , these are between the power conditioner and Modwright LS100 preamp, and KWA100SE power amp in my main system.  I moved the Power1 Eplus Cyro cable that was on the preamp to by SimAudio cd transport, and moved the Power1 SE that was on the power amp to the DAC in my 2nd system.

Just added an Audio Art Cable Statement E2 Cryo power cable between the power conditioner and integrated amps in my main system. It replaced an Audio Art Power 1 SE which I shifted into my 2nd system.  The Statement adds more body, tone, texture

Sorry just seeing your question. I am very pleased with the Simaudio transport. It is a good match for the Mojo DAC allowing it to display more of it capabilities.

How does the Simaudio transport match up with your system? Is the Sim transport a high end piece, like the rest of your system?

@facten That troll posted a link to your system in that Streamer/Dac thread and glad he did I don't think I've seen it before. Love those big Daedelus's, Daedeli maybe? Anyway gorgeous speakers love the woodwork and the ones I've heard at shows have sounded great.

And looks like you rotate between a great tubed integrated and a nice tube/ss preamp/amp combo that's a lot of variety. And a great looking second system too! Thanks for sharing and happy listening!

Hello Facten = Fabulous looking (and I trust, sounding) system! I have been to visit Lou Hinckley on a couple of occasions and had wonderful times. Do you still use the JM Reynaud Offrande Supreme v2 in your second system? I'm looking for speakers for low watt (18wpc) mono blocs. If so I'd love to have a chat.
