Been few years with this set up , still loving it , nothing change but only rolling some tubes.
Sometimes when browsing thinking bout try something else but alas when listening I’m in lost , forgotten all …so is good thing for my wallet and my wife 😁.
Been own the Rua for few month then before it Is Kansui.
But for my memory this kind different compare to XX2, it has own sound degree in bass Religion and if I I can said also have more sweetness in high maybe more extended, Nothing bad just different.
My fav still XX2 for money .
But Kansui Is total Different ,you got the slam on bass that no other cartridge can .
Musical in mid range too And only draw back is their compliance kind low .
If I have heavy arm that will my keeper for sure .
I have owned Harbeth M30.1, like you. I have upgraded towards M30.2 Anniversary (magnificent).
About the AirTight ATM-2: there is one to sell not far from my place, 1st owner. Don't know the amplifier's age. Air Tight has good reputation, BUT
a) I read that many report the 'tube blown' issue. Then you have to replace the fuse, and it must be soldered (?!). If it has to be serviced, it weights 32Kg!!
c) the "front-input-is-better" weird thing is, well...weird. There are attenators; is it worth using it without preamp?
At present I have a Marantz PM-16 and a NuPrime AMG-STA class A preamp, and AMG-PRA power amp (130w stereo, class A+D); very fine little combo. I listen mainly to classical, large room and very good acoustic, no neighbors.
Very nice system! I have the 30.1 Anniversary paired with a McIntosh MA8000 which is a pretty good match. But Air Tight is high on my wish list :) Have you tried the combination 30.1/INT-150? Thanks!
