Current System. Replaced an Aragon 4004 Mk. II and Adcom GFP 750 with this pre/amp. Also added the Marantz (instead of Rotel RCD 971. Not sure if cables make sense - that goes for all. Also would like to tweak the turntable (cartridge?).

Still playing with cables. Added Zu's between CD and pre, the TruthLink's between pre and amp. Also added Kimber cable for the mp3 player.

I moved the furniture to try to get better acoustics. Not sure if better, but at least I can sit in the sweet spot with a couple of friends! Also bought a screen to block the doorway to the equip. rack and get better reflective sound off the back of the ML's.

None of this is scientific, but sure fun!

My room is 13X20 with speakers on short wall. One 4' from corner walls, the other 4' from wall, but beside open doorway. I have a dedicated 20 amp circut with a hospital grade outlet.

I like the sound, but am sure it can be improved. I listen to Albinoni - Zappa. I'll work on the pictures and update. But, "you get the picture".

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sort of pieced together upgrades, cables, etc. not really knowing what I'm doing other than viewing threads on Audiogon and reading Stereophile, TAS, etc.

Would still like any feedback on system. The more I listen, the more I think the transparency is not what it could be. I don't know if I'd term it bloom, transparency or what, but don't know if I've got a component, or cable that is limiting along the line.

I am not in the market for new source components, unless something is not a fit. Thinking about new cables, but not sure what is good/not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the comments. I am married w/ children. The finished basement has a second system (Kef 104.2, Aragon 4004, Adcom GFP 750, Rotel CD coupled w/ an Adcom GSA 700 and TV/DVD. The room is large, but the house is older and the celiings are 7' at best.

Would room tunes or some similar treatment help the living room w/ the Martin Logans? Kinda stuck w/ system upstairs, and like listening in that room. However, I've never explored any type of echo busters, etc.

Would love some comments, as I'm not sure it my system is synergistic. Should I consider new cables? Is the system matched, or do the components not compliment each other?
