Description

My system is run in a small apartment. It is musical sounding with good detail. Very dynamic as well. Soundstage is quite good, imaging is just fair.

I really enjoy it and am constantly impressed by how good this rig can sound.

It's certainly not high-end by any means but it serves me quite well.

I'd love to hear opinions and any advice.

The Furman is a loaner. I have a Furutech that I like very much but it doesn't regulate voltage and this old building has bad power. The Furutech gives me blackness, the Furman not quite. It's a sacrifice I am making while in this temporary apartment.

I'm happy with the current system but would like to try some new speakers. I'll wait to we are settled into a house before I do that though as I want full range speakers but feel that the sub is important (for my neighbors!) in my apartment.

2/1/2008 I have acquired a new Rega P1 turntable with glass platter upgrade and a Cambridge Audio 540P MM Phono Pre.

I couldn't be happier with my first foray into vinyl. I have hardly listened to anything but vinyl in the 2 weeks I have had the Rega.

Thanks for the responses folks.

I've played with my speaker/sub placement a bit and am getting a nice big soundstage with much better imaging. I moved the sub to dead center for starters. I moved the speakers a touch wider and all but eliminated the toe-in.
