Description

Hello we moved into this house about a year ago. I am still working on the system. This room is a lot smaller then where my system was in my old house. The room is 14X13X9. Any suggestion for room treatments would be appreciated. I am looking for an large area rug. Also am thinking about upgrading my preamp. Thinking of going with tubes. Tube pre amps I am looking at Cary SLP 98 or Audio Research LS 25. Also considering SS Classe CP500. Any advice or recomendations would be apreciated; not just the pre amp but anything. Thanks for looking and providing feedback on my system.

"Nice system.. clean and well kept. An area rug would help tame whatever echo/harshness you are or arent experiencing. Either way, it'll be a good improvement.

Keep us posted with what you do!"

Absolutely. Please get yourself an area rug. When we bought our house coupla years ago, i claimed that the living room would be the listening room. All hardwood floors. I had decent stuff before the area rug...and the diff the area rug made was monumental. It looks like your room is the standard rectangle. Try the 8th nerve products, they really work.

Get as thick and as big an area rug you can. The presentation of the vocals...the focus...the imaging...everything will drastically improve.
