Still trying to see if the Stillpoints (Ultra AL) are making a positive difference in my system. I'm moving them around all the different components and then critically listening. The speakers are the last frontier. So far I haven't found the right combination so I'll keep trying and if no good then will be posting two sets of 4 up on the 'Gon soon.
System Edited: Well decided against the A90 last minute so may have jumped the gun on the last system update. In it's place I picked up a rare Goldbug Ms. Brier recently retipped with ruby cantilever and fine line stylus. Will pair with a Yamamoto HS-1A headshell (also new) which will further be upgraded with Oyaide silver leads. I can't wait for my plinth/301 rebuild to be completed so I can put all this planning to action.
Tristannatalie: I saw that auction on eBay and almost wished I hadn't already bought my 301, my 301 needs a good strip down and conversion to 60Hz before I can use it. Really excited to give it a spin as soon as it's ready.
Charles1dad: it certainly is pretty good. I have a less than ideal room situation right now and hope that eventually I can get myself into a dedicated room to really hear what this setup is capable of.
System edited: Replaced Shindo Monbrison/Montille combo with a Shindo Masseto/Cortese combo and wow what an upgrade...sweet sweet SET sound. Also obtained a Garrard 301 as part of a restoration project.
