Description

It's been a long road, but here is my system now with the wonderful Shindo pre and amp. I just finished the DIY rack made out of maple. I'd like a TT upgrade somewhere down the line, but I'm very happy with this system. It is my "sanity saver", although some would argue it has failed.

    • DIY Rack Maple
Newly finished, made of maple block shelves, legs, and isolation spikes. I had a Salamander rack and grew tired of the rods and lack of stability. This is very stable, firm, and the sound has improved a lot. It is ultimately adjustable; I just have to get or make different size legs.
    • Shindo Cortese
A wonderful 10 watts of SET bliss.
    • Shindo Monbrison
This wonderful preamp changed my audiophile life
    • Nottingham Spacedeck
A good turntable and the mapleblock really improved the sound. With Shelter 501 cartridge
    • Audio Note UK CD-2
Audio Note UK CD player. I used to love it, but I don't use it much these days. My listening is almost completely vinyl.
    • Zingali 4
Wonderful Italian crafted horn speaker. Efficient enough at 93db to work very well with my SET Shindo at 10 watts.

I use a Shindo cable between the Monbrison pre and the Cortese amp. An Audio Note inter connects the CD player to the pre. Speaker cables are Auditorium 23. Thanks for the compliments. I love the system and it's sound. The rack really made a difference. It wasn't that difficult. The shelves I had delivered cut to my specifications, and I had the legs delivered from a table leg place in North Carolina--and they installed the hanger bolts at no extra charge. The spikes I got from Adona, and they adjust, so each shelf can be leveled independently.
